The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.
The Atlanta (GA) Chapter was the first Links Chapter established in the State of Georgia. Since its founding in 1953, the Chapter has served metropolitan Atlanta through community service projects and charitable giving.
The Atlanta (GA) Chapter’s membership of influential leaders continues to volunteer countless documented hours in service to the metropolitan Atlanta community and to the global society.
The Atlanta (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is dedicated to fostering transformational change in our communities through impactful programming and strategic partnerships.
Our mission is to empower underserved populations, particularly African Americans, by addressing critical disparities in education, health, economic opportunities, and the arts. Through programs like eSTEAM-Ed, Smart M.O.U.T.H., and The Green Screen Project, we have directly impacted over 12,000 students and families, provided 28,000+ dental screenings, and increased career pathways for African American youth in STEAM and the arts.
The Atlanta (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated plays a pivotal role in driving equity, innovation, and transformation in metro Atlanta. Together, we can build a more inclusive and thriving community.
At the 44th National Assembly in 2024, the 47th Area Conference in 2023, and the 46th Area Conference in 2021, the chapter’s impactful initiatives received a total of $13,000 in awards.
Our organization is deeply committed to empowering youth and communities, dedicating over $35,000 annually to support its programs and scholarships.
Smart M.O.U.T.H., addresses disparities in dental care for African-American children in Atlanta. Partnering with schools and the National Dental Association, the initiative provides free dental screenings, preventive care, and referrals, reaching over 28,000 individuals. It also promotes dental careers to encourage diversity in the field.
This program enhances STEAM education in Atlanta public schools through hands-on projects, mentorship, and career exploration, benefitting 1,600+ students and teachers since 2018. It fosters creativity, problem-solving, and awareness of STEAM careers.
Supports HBCU students in filmmaking through scholarships, film screenings, and industry exposure. Over four years, it has reached 7,000+ viewers through film festivals and showcases.
